Lindsay Lohan's designer role at Emanuel Ungaro confirmed.

Rumours have been circulating for months that fashion house Ungaro was interested in tapping Lindsay Lohan for a role at the label, and today WWD has confirmed that she will act as artistic director to the house's new creative director, Estrella Archs.

Archs replaces Estaban Cortazar who left earlier this year over alleged differences with CEO Mounir Moufarrige's idea to hire Lohan.

Lindsay's role will be to inject some youth and sex-appeal in to the brand which has been making a loss for several seasons. It also fulfils a lifelong ambition for the ELLE cover girl who has often spoken of designing her own collection, and already has her own leggings and tights line, 6126.

But will she be designing any of the clothes herself? Lindsay told WWD,

'I kind of oversee everything [Archs] does, while working with her.'

The first collection by Archs and Lohan will debut at Paris Fashion Week on 4th October. (

Lindsay Lohan has signed on to front the Spring/Summer 2009 advertising campaign for high-end Italian brand Fornarina.

In the wake of many of my recent postings about Lindsay Lohan, some of you have called me for being too tough on the troubled and unemployed singer/actress.

 The fruits of her labor — the Spring/Summer '09 ad campaign — have been released. The actress is seen posing against the backdrop of Los Angeles at one of Hollywood's most exclusive locations, the Stahl house. Though she's technically modeling, her facial expressions aren't much different than what she's used to. But the clothes are definitely more colorful than what she wears in real life. Lindsay Lohan showed up with Samantha Ronson to Charlotte Ronson's runway show in Japan today. And if that isn't exciting enough, Charlotte pulled her on the runway for her final lap.

The audience went wild, if wild can be expressed in a calm, reserved way through large giddy smiles. Just look at that girl with the digicam on the right! She's about to burst with tingly LiLo excitement!

What's more impressive, however, is the incredible group effort of self-restraint. In no way did they rush the stage and mob her like at New York Fashion Week. (Remember, that's the exact reason Alexander Wang didn't allow her in, either?)

Props to you, calm, well-behaved Japanese audience. You know that would never go down in New York.

Lindsay Lohan loves her leggings and now she is ready to share them with the world!

The actress launched her new fashion collection 6126 tonight at Henri Bendel in New York. Earlier today, the multi-talented starlet wrote about her new venture on her myspace blog.

I love to wear leggings, so it should come as no surprise that my first venture into the world of fashion design is with leggings!” Lindsay writes.Lohan named the brand, 6126, after Marilyn Monroe’s birthday because she says Marilyn represents a “timeless, confident glam and that is the voice of this brand.”

Henri Bendel and Lindsay celebrated the line Monday night at the New York store. A percentage of all 6126 sales from the evening will be given to Ovarian Cancer Research – a cause that Lindsay says is,

very close to my heart.”

Lindsay Lohan is turning a new leaf by gracing our magazine pages for her charity work rather then her bad partying ways. This month she launches a charity fashion campaign.

The star will encourage UK shoppers to swap their unwanted clothes, bags and shoes at the Visa Swap Shop store in Covent Garden between June and July.

Lindsay follows in Mischa Barton's footsteps who was the face of the campaign last year.

The event is in association with the clothing charity Traid and encourages us all to recycle our unwanted fashion goods.

Lindsay has kindly donated many designer goods including an Issa Dress, Jimmy Choo shoes and a designer bag.
